Kelowna Music & Arts Festival July 24-26, 2009 Kelowna’s Cultural District The 2009 festival will feature content that primarily caters to an adult demographic, but also includes family components including performances and drop-in activities. The 2009 festival will have a strong focus on contemporary music, comedy entertainment, and the Artisan Marketplace and Crafters Walkway. Sonnie Trotter at the Museum (Summer Lecture Series) August 25, 7pm Okanagan Heritage Museum, 470 Queensway Avenue The Kelowna Museums are offering a Summer Lecture Series presenting a range of local and regional speakers. Explore new topics and perspectives, from history and archaeology to rock climbing and Okanagan trails. All lectures are admission by donation and take place at the Okanagan Heritage Museum, 470 Queensway Avenue at the corner of Ellis and Queensway. On August 25, the guest speaker will be Sonnie Trotter, a professional rock climber who has been climbing since he was sixteen. Based in British Columbia, Sonnie has climbed at locations all over the world and is internationally recognized for his dedication to and promotion of the sport.
