The Downtown Kelowna Association Board of Directors is voted annually by the membership and serve a two year term. Any property owner, leasee, or tenant located of a Class 5 or 6 property within the Downtown BIA boundary is eligible for nomination and election. March 19, 2017 - April 6, 2017, the Downtown Kelowna BusinessImprovement Area (Downtown Kelowna Association) accepted nine (9) nominationsto fill seven (7) positions on its Board of Directors for two (2) year terms(2017 – 2019). The current Board of Directors of the Downtown KelownaAssociation consists of fourteen (14) Directors.

How can I get nominated?

The Downtown Kelowna Association Board of Directors is voted annually by the membership and serve a two year term (2017-2019). There are 7 seats available of a 14 member Board: 13 elected, 1 appointed.

Nominations openMarch 20, 2017 and nomination forms may be obtained from our websitewww.downtownkelowna.com/election, emailed upon request or picked up from ouroffice.

Nomineesmust:

  • Be a Class 5 or 6 property owner, tenant, business owner or duly authorized employee,
  • Consent to the nomination by signing the form,
  • Serve for a 2 year term (2017-2019),
  • Attend monthly meetings 5pm-7pm, and
  • Have an active interest in Downtown.

Nominators must:

  • Be a Class 5 or 6 property owner, tenant, business owner or duly authorized employee.
Completed nomination forms and bios (100 words)may be submitted via email, fax or delivered/mailed directly to our office.

What are the board member's requirements?

  • Be a Non-Residential Property Owner or Tenant, Business Owner or Employee within the Downtown Kelowna Association boundary,
  • Serve for a two (2) year term,
  • Attend monthly meetings from 5pm – 7pm, and
  • Have an active interest in Downtown Kelowna.
