About The Association

Hi. Hello.

Welcome to Downtown Kelowna.

If your business is located in the Downtown business improvement area (BIA), you’re a member! Check out the official map here. If you’re outside the area, we won’t hold it against you, but you’re not a member.

As the Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA), we’re responsible for assisting local property owners and business people to promote their business and further trade and commerce in the Downtown area.

If you own a new business in Downtown Kelowna you can activate your membership here. That way we’ll know who you are so we can stop by to say hello.

Please email us with any comments and concerns, or come visit us at #200-287 Bernard Avenue. Bring donuts. We like those. Maple.

What Does DKA Do?

Business Recruitment and Retention

We are part of the community, advocating on behalf of preservation and development projects. From our number one priority of the revitalization of the Leon and Lawrence Avenues and the Kerry Park redesign, to creating more parking areas and better highway signage directing people to Downtown.

We consider Downtown Kelowna a brand and work to shape perceptions by elevating Downtown’s image and increasing visits. With promotional material, popular events, and promotions, we’re keeping the Downtown Kelowna brand top of mind.

Business Recruitment and Retention

We maintain an up-to-date, interactive map on our website that highlights investment. We also attend the International Council of Shopping Centers Conference and Tradeshow in Whistler, BC to promote Downtown Kelowna and attract new businesses to the core.

We’re always creating new ways to communicate with stakeholders, partners, members, visitors and our guests.
