As the Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA), we’re responsible for assisting local property owners and business people to promote their business and further trade and commerce in the Downtown area.

We are part of the community, advocating on behalf of preservation and development projects. From our number one priority of the revitalization of the Leon and Lawrence Avenues and the Kerry Park redesign, to creating more parking areas and better highway signage directing people to Downtown.
We consider Downtown Kelowna a brand and work to shape perceptions by elevating Downtown’s image and increasing visits. With promotional material, popular events, and promotions, we’re keeping the Downtown Kelowna brand top of mind.
We maintain an up-to-date, interactive map on our website that highlights investment. We also attend the International Council of Shopping Centers Conference and Tradeshow in Whistler, BC to promote Downtown Kelowna and attract new businesses to the core.
We’re always creating new ways to communicate with stakeholders, partners, members, visitors and our guests.
Membership consists of the property owners of and businesses located within the current 42-square block BIA boundary.

The Downtown Kelowna Association Board of Directors is voted on annually by the membership and serve a two year term. Any property owner, leasee, or tenant located of a Class 5 or 6 property within the Downtown BIA boundary is eligible for nomination and election.
